Cuba says storm damage to nickel plant fixed

Nov 20 (Reuters) – A Cuban nickel plant damaged by Hurricane Sandy more than three weeks ago is now up and running, according to official media in Holguin province where it is located.

Uganda invites bids for re-starting of copper mines

KAMPALA – Uganda has invited bids for the restart of production at its Kilembe copper mines near the border with the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and expects the winner to invest about $100-million in the project.
