Burundi ore offers gains

With the mining of nickel in Burundi underway, East Africa shows the beginnings of a strong iron and steel industry.

We have most of the elements to develop a viable industrial base.

However, I wonder whether we will not find ourselves in a fix. I am thinking of the Nigeria situation of being a top oil exporter and yet also importing more expensive refined fuel products.
